Dick Marshall has worked in building supply distribution since finishing high school.  Over the years he has managed several operations with sales in excess of $5 million before going on his own and starting Interex Systems Ltd. in his garage making pre hung doors and delivering them to job sites.  Today he still owns 100 percent of Interex with sales in excess of $1.5 million employing ten proud Newfoundlanders.

Derek has one daughter Kaley who is thirteen years old.  He has served on the board of directors of Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association, Newfoundland Home Builders Association, the Rotary Club of St. John’s East and the Taoist Tai Chi Society of Atlantic Canada.  He travels when time permits, hikes and keeps in touch with nature whenever possible.  As the owner of Interex he understands his staff is his success and in a daily basis ensures their workplace is a fun and enjoyable place.
